The Wright Spot offers engaging evening and weekend classes and workshops. These extra-curricular programs are run by members of our community and cater to children of all ages as well as their families. 


Toddler Art Play-Group

Connect with your child while they explore and create! Play based art activities will inspire your little one to discover their inner artist. Come and enjoy a creative, messy, full spectrum sensory experience without having to worry about the clean-up. 

While we do use smocks, getting messy is highly encouraged and a big part of art making, so please dress your child (and yourself!) appropriately.


Art Lab

Classes: 3-6 / 7 - 12 / all ages

An explorative art class that encourages creative play using a wide variety of mediums and methods, including painting, sculpture, collage and mixed media. This class is process focused, meaning we focus on the experience of creating, rather than the final product. 

New mediums and methods will be introduced each week and our little artists will be encouraged to direct their own exploration. 

Group art projects will be explored to encourage artistic collaboration. 

While we do use smocks, getting messy is highly encouraged and a big part of art making, so please dress your child appropriately.


Kids Yoga

Classes:

3-6, Tuesdays 6:15pm - 7pm

7 - 12, Tuesdays 7:15pm - 8pm

This creative and playful class introduces children to yoga and movement by integrating activities, games, dance and partner work. Building self awareness and promoting imagination is at the heart of this program.  

Yoga fundamentals including alignment, flexibility, strength and mindfulness will be explored in fun, accessible ways. 

Our goal is to provide a fun, safe, inclusive space, where children of varying ages and abilities can learn to make the mind/body connection, express themselves and make new friends.

Consistent participation in yoga results in many health benefits, including; self discipline, increased self esteem, confidence in self expression, improved concentration and listening, self calming skills, mindfulness, improved posture, balance, flexibility and strength... To name a few!


Family Yoga

A fun filled yoga class where families of all sizes and dynamics are invited connect through dynamic movement activities and games. Be prepared to dance, sing, laugh and have tons of fun, all while exploring an imaginative, accessible take on yoga. 

Yoga fundamentals including alignment, flexibility, strength and mindfulness will be explored in fun, accessible ways.
