The Wright Spot’s Preschool curriculum focuses on the development of the whole child by facilitating learning through active and enriching experiences.
A positive social and learning environment is first established by the supportive relationships between our children, families, and Early Childhood Educators. Teachers work in collaboration with parents and children to develop a sense of kindness, positivity, and nurturance in all aspects of our program.
Teachers observe children to create activities that contribute to the refinement of previously acquired skills and the development of new ones. Play-based learning opportunities focused on early literacy and mathematic skills, as well as science and discovery, encourage emerging critical thinking and problem solving abilities. Active physical experiences and tactile sensory play inspire fine and gross motor development, language skills, and cognitive growth. Belonging to a warm and nurturing classroom community fosters independence and meaningful social interactions that are supported by the guidance of our teaching staff. All experiences are planned with individual needs and interests in mind, enhanced by the benefit of small group sizes and a low teacher to child ratio.
Classes run Monday through Friday, beginning at 9:30am (drop-off time) and ending at 12:00pm (pick-up time).
*Programming follows the TDSB calendar and therefore will not run during school related closures.
