Policies for Classes, Camps, Movie Nights, Birthdays & Special Events
Children must be four (4) years old to attend Camp. Half day options available if space allows.
All classes run as 8-week programs. Children must be four (4) years of age to attend our daytime classes. An adult must accompany children under the age of four (4) to our evening and weekend classes. Children over the age of four (4) may be dropped off for the duration of our evening and weekend classes. A parent or guardian must sign all waiver forms associated with each class during the first session.
The Wright Spot reserves the right to cancel or modify classes should the need to do so arise.
Discounts + Refunds
All members of our Preschool received 10% off of classes.
Full refunds will be issued prior to the start of the first class of each session. If enrolment is cancelled after the first class, no refund will be issued.
The Wright Spot requires 48 hours notice for a missed class. Make up classes will be issued on an agreed upon date and time so long as space allows. Each child is entitled to two (2) make-up classes per program.
Children must be four (4) years old to attend Movie Nights.
Non-Sufficient Funds Policy (NSF)
A fee of $60.00 is charged for NSF cheques. The levy is to be included in the replacement cheque. The Wright Spot requires certified cheques in the event of two NSF cheques in a 10-month period.
All class, camp, movie night, drop-in, birthday and special event prices are subject to 13% harmonized sales tax.
The Wright Spot is not responsible for the supervision of personal belongings. We provide an area in the front of our studio for storage of items during classes, as well as a lost and found basket. All parents and guardians are encouraged to check this basket regularly.
The Wright Spot takes photographs of the children for display, our website and advertising purposes, subject to each parent’s signed consent.
Registration is required, and the receipt of payment in full is needed (by cash, cheque, or e-Transfer) before beginning classes.
Sick children or children with a communicable disease will not be allowed to participate in our programming.
The Wright Spot reserves the right to exclude a child who we believe is ill or contagious or to request a physician’s note, as necessary.
If there is an emergency and you cannot pick your child(ren) up on time, please notify us as soon as possible.
The Wright Spot charges the following amounts for late pick-ups:
$1.00 per child per minute for the first five minutes past 6:00 p.m. and,
$2.00 per child per minute, thereafter.
These charges are billed on a monthly basis. Parents are required to sign their child/children out when there is a late pick-up.
Our late pick-up policy is not meant to indicate that we offer or welcome late pick-ups as part of our service. All late pick-ups are documented. Any parent who picks their child up late more than three times in a month is required to meet with us and provide a plan to avoid a recurrence.
Family and Contact Information
It is the member’s responsibility to ensure that we have the most up-to-date contact information (address, phone number(s), email address(es), work information etc.), at all times. In addition, an emergency contact is required for each member’s file.
Notice of Withdrawal
We require thirty (30) days written notice if you wish to withdraw your child from the Wright Spot. If you do not provide the required notice in writing, within the notice period, you will forfeit your fee for the last month.
After you have agreed to accept a spot for your child, if you choose to cancel or delay your child’s start date without providing the required notice (see above), you are responsible for a one-month enrolment fee.
Income Tax Receipt
Annual Income Tax receipts are provided in February of each year.
We accept cash, e-tranfers and cheques.
*Applicable taxes will be added to all above items with the exception of Preschool.
